Fäsi Crest wines grew out of a passion for fine wines by Swiss born Ralph Fäsi. In 2000, Ralph planted a cutting edge vineyard with 42 acres of Certified Organic Syrah grapes. 2003 was the first vintage of Fäsi Crest Private Reserve Syrah. Since then, each vintage has received Gold Medals and even “Best of Class” and “Best of Region” acclamations, proving that Madera can compete with fine wines from any locale. Idle Hour Winery focuses on producing small-lot, single vineyard designated wines from some of California’s best organic and sustainably-grown vineyards: Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir, Clarksburg Tempranillo and Petite Sirah, and Rhone varieties: Viognier, Roussanne, Mourvedre and Syrah from Madera’s granite soils. We make the wine naturally, using native yeasts, gravity-flow, and neutral oak barrels, without fining and filtration. Come taste our wines and enjoy the Queen’s Inn and Wine Bar, at our six scenic acres on the Fresno River.

At Westbrook Wine Farm Vineyard and Winery our farming is sustainable and our winemaking, minimalist. We grow seven of the eight red grape varieties approved for red Bordeaux or Meritage style wines from which we make two co-fermented field blends, Fait Accompli and Museum. We also source grapes such as Petite Sirah, Viognier, Chardonnay and Riesling from other growers of quality and conscience. Come for the wine and an always beautiful day in the Sierra.
